Liverpool Wedding Photographer
When musical theatre addicts and performers Lucy and Matthew got in touch with me to shoot their wedding, how could I say no? Musical theatre and theatre in general is in my blood. After all, I have my degree in it, directed and taught it for nine years. The thought of shooting a wedding for these two fantastic performers had me bouncing with excitement. I continued bouncing for 16 months until the big day arrived!
Lucy’s beautiful bouquet was designed by the fabulous Annetta Florist of Woolton.
As cheesy as it sounds, although the temperatures outside were soaring, Lucy and the girls were seriously cool as cucumbers whilst getting ready. Not even joking. No stress, no dramatics, just a lot of fun and giggles!
St Peter’s Church, Woolton Wedding
Whizzing ahead to meet Matt and the boys at church I was again met by a sense of absolute calm. No nerves, no twitching or pacing, just a man who was excited to see his beautiful bride for the first time. Have you ever got that sense that two people were just put on this earth to make one and other happy? Today really was all about that. That, and staying out of direct sunlight for fear of melting!
Did you know that St Peter’s Church is actually a popular visiting place for fans of The Beatles? The real Eleanor Rigby is buried within the grounds here and is also the place where John Lennon and Paul McCartney first met.
A Beautiful Church Wedding in Liverpool
Now, this is how you entertain your guests whilst signing the register! The members of BOS Musical Theatre Company put on the most wonderful performance that really raised the roof!
Reynolds Park, Woolton
If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that your wedding day will just fly by. One minute you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle, the next the lights come on at the end of your evening celebrations and the day has come to a close. It’s a day of many hugs, kisses, tears and moments to love. It’s very important though to just get some time together and we headed straight over for a walk at Reynolds Park. The chance to catch up, share stories from your morning preparations and have a few moments to savour being husband and wife. Priceless!
Fantastically theatrical masks, a dashing groom, a beautiful bride and that veil. Swoon!!!
The Crowne Plaza Liverpool John Lennon Airport
The absolutley stunning 4 tier cake was by the brilliantly talented Tom Williams Cake Factory. Incorporating musical notes and theatrical masks it perfectly encompassed the theme of the day.
The BOS company decided to really showcase their dramatic skills on the dancefloor!
