Willington Hall Wedding Photographer
I can’t believe how long ago it was that Jyl and Keith started looking for their Willington Hall wedding photographer. At the time I met them I though they were mad! It was almost 2 and a half years until their big day but they insisted they wanted to book me before anyone else snapped me up. At the time I had just begun my full time photographer journey and it was incredible to have a couple so sure of your abilities when personally it’s a terrifying time. I first met them both at the DeVere Cranage Estate Wedding Fair and we clicked instantly. They are just the most sweet, down to earth couple who wanted a fun and relaxed photographer who wasn’t going to make them stand stiffly and shout ‘cheese’ a lot! Turns out, I fitted the bill perfectly!
Willington Hall Pre-Wedding Shoot
In the week leading up to their pre-wedding shoot, the weather was very changeable. One minute you were basking in glorious sunshine and the next, the heavens had opened. I hate that weather! Anyway, being the nasty pasty that I am, I wanted to have the perfect light and weather for Jyl and Keith’s pre-wedding shoot at Willington Hall. Poor Jyl on her week off had to get up at the crack of dawn so that they could meet me for a 9am start. Thank you guys! We were granted the lovely early morning light and big blue sky that I simply adore though so I think it was worth it. Our biggest battle was between the breeze and Jyl’s gorgeous hair – thankfully for Keith, this wasn’t a problem 😉
I am obsessed with the beautiful wire horse sculptures on the front lawn at Willington Hall (along with their gorgeous Afternoon Teas) If you haven’t been yet, you really must.
After the dark, dreary colourless months of winter I literally feel myself coming alive again in the spring. When I spotted the gorgeous cherry blossom my walk instantly turned into a skip! I just love the colours and the outward sign of new life (sounds stupid and soppy but it’s true!)
I’m sure that those of you who are familiar with my work know that I love to keep my images dynamic. Standing still is not in my nature and certainly not in my photography. I just love the fun and romance of a dip and kiss. Jyl and Keith absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one. With such love and a beautiful backdrop, what more could you want?
