Thornton Manor Wedding Photography
I am absolutely crazy in love with Thornton Manor weddings. This exclusive beyond freaking gorgeous Cheshire wedding venue is simply romance and grandeur combined. Together it creates the most perfect location for your loved one to say I do. Cheshire wedding photographers fall over themselves with excitement as soon as they pass through the traditional gate keeper’s entrance. The beautiful landscape gardens, romantic stone arches and exquisite interior means you’re never short of photo options. Come rain or shine you’re guaranteed beautiful wedding images.
When Emily and Simon booked me to photograph their Thornton Manor wedding I was beyond thrilled. I am so lucky to find couples who like myself love to have fun. They also love colour and boy did they bring some to their wedding day! I’ve never before and haven’t since shot a wedding with a multicolour theme so vibrant. Bright hues of red, orange, blue, yellow and green could be found all over details for the day. The absolutely stunning floral work from Jacqui O Fairytale Flowers brought bright splashes of colour to all of the bridal party. The couple’s love of The Muppets and penquins also featured throughout the their decor. I just adore that Emily and Simon didn’t care about Pinterest wedding trends. They wanted a wedding that reflected them perfectly and they knocked it out of the park!
Thornton Manor Wedding Ideas
The super colourful blooms courtesy of the fantastic Jacqui O Fairytale Flowers perfectly complimented the vibrant bridesmaid dresses.
The boys also had the colourful treatment. Their smart 3 piece navy suits were the perfect canvas for more bright floral work on their buttonholes. The Groom, Simon also paid homage to the classic Muppets character Kermit the Frog with his fun cufflinks.
The luxury rooms at Thornton Manor are perfect for getting ready in style on your wedding day. They are also the perfect way to host your closest family and friends overnight.
Emily looked absolutely stunning! Her hair and make-up was perfected by the lovely ladies at Absolutely Flawless. Emily purchased her beautiful gown from Elle Louise Bridal, Stoke on Trent. There were certainly more excitement than nerves as she made her way towards the beautiful dining room for the ceremony. The stunning wood panelling and plaster work makes for the perfect, opulent place to say your vows.
Thornton Manor Wedding Ceremony
There were rather a few ‘frogs in throat’ moments at Simon and Emily’s gorgeous ceremony. I think it’s fair to say that Simon went through a range of emotions in the 15 or so seconds captured here!
Whilst Emily and Simon signed the register the lovely and very talented Sophia Sax entertained guests. The lady has some serious musical skills!
If there is one thing I love, it’s the genuine look of sheer joy and happiness as the new Mr and Mrs take their first walk together as husband and wife. All of the planning, nerves, time invested over months has finally resulted in you putting a ring on it. You’re finally hitched!
The beautiful tree lined walkway provides the perfect place for your family and friends to attack you with confetti!
Fun Bridal Party Photography at Thornton Manor
Emily and Simon certainly enjoy having a good time. Spending quality time with their family and friends was key and they really wanted to ensure everyone let their hair down and enjoyed themselves. I have to mention how much I loved their bridal party too. We had such fun shooting with them. Their personalities were as vibrant and colourful as they colours they were wearing. I think you can tell from the photos below that we certainly had a lot of fun together and avoided the usual boring stand in a line and say ‘cheese’ shots! Fun poses and slow motion races had us all in fits of laughter throughout!
Thornton Manor Colourful Wedding Details
Whilst guests mingled enjoying delicious canapes from the amazing Anne Wilson Cordon Bleu Catering we had a little alone time. I then popped in to check on the room and snap some of the amazing details.
The bright multicolour theme continued into wedding breakfast. Jacqui O Fairytale Flowers masterfully created an assortment of beautiful and bespoke table centres. Each one perfectly contrasted against the vibrant linens that adorned each table.
Speeches were an absolute blast! I’m sure that Groom, Simon was thrilled with all the embarrassing stories and photographs his brother Chris (AKA Dave – don’t ask!) shared with everyone! Following on from speeches we managed to grab an umberella as it had started to rain and ran out for some fun with smoke!
Simon and Emily were hardcore going for a romantic ‘dip n kiss’ in the rain with no umbrella! Cheers guys! We later headed back inside and had a quiet moment in one of the beautiful windows upstairs. There really are so many places for photos – it’s almost impossible to choose!
As the evening guests arrived it was time to cut their amazing 5 tier cake. Keeping in theme with the rest of the wedding, bright and colourful was the brief given to the incredibly talented Becky’s Cakes, based in Crewe, Cheshire. I think she did an incredible job. The detailing was tremendous!
I’m sure it’s no suprise to anyone reading the blog that Simon and Emily did a little more than just stand and sway for their first dance. I just love the happiness that just radiates from them. I just can’t help but smile when I see these photos!
There was no time for these two to capture their breath after their first dance. There was a party to be had! The amazing Funtime Frankies made sure the dancefloor was packed all night long!
Thornton Manor Photobooth
Simon and Emily also chose to have my fantastic photobooth to capture guests during the evening party. Let’s just say the booth was just as busy as the dance floor!
After Dark Photography at Thornton Manor
As many of you know I declare after dark to be my playtime. I love nothing more than stealing a cheeky moment with the Bride and Groom and heading outdoors for some fresh air. A break from the madness of the day to reflect on what a magnificent time you have had. Plus, create something beautiful to finish off your album and the story of your day.
Thank you so much Emily and Simon for letting me be part of your special day. I had the most incredible time with you both and your family and friends.
