Love is not cancelled – The most truly perfect lockdown wedding

Well, the fantastic subjects of this wedding blog – Jack and Stevie I have known for quite some time…childhood sweethearts together since high school and I was once actually their drama teacher! Back in the early days of me picking up a camera I even took a photo of the both at their year 11 prom. I was absolutely over the moon when they asked me to be their wedding photographer and after all the twists and turns that Boris and co had thrown their way over the last few months, yesterday brought me one mighty shock. Instead of postponing their wedding until September next year, they decided with about 12 hours to go to get married on their original wedding date! It wasn’t until I got home from teaching a flash workshop at 10.30pm last night that I discovered that Stevie was desperate for me to capture their now new/old wedding and to be at her house by 8am the next morning! Absolute nut jobs! I tell you what, I love them even more for it. They just couldn’t wait another year. Why wait? They’ve been madly in love since their early teens and so desperately wanted to do it…so they did…and it was the most perfect micro wedding EVER!

Thank you so much for having me Mr and Mrs Mills! I’m honestly honoured to have shared this fantastic morning with you guys and your beautiful family – who doesn’t like drinking Moet in the street at just gone 10am?! CONGRATULATIONS!

Also a relief to see my photography skills have got better – the first time I photographed Jack and Stevie back in 2011! Awwwwwwwwwwww!
