Alcumlow Wedding Barn Photographer – Alice and Mark

I’m so happy to be sharing with you the absolutely stunning wedding celebration of Alice and Mark at the beautiful Alcumlow Wedding Barn. From the moment Alice and Mark approached me to be their wedding photographer I was absolutely overwhelmed with their friendliness and warmth. Their zest for life and love for one and other was so easy to see and after sharing their wedding day with them it was so wonderful to experience first hand what can only be described as their ‘magic.’ I know! I’m really not one for such romantic and gushing declarations but I literally spent the whole day feeling like I was watching my close friends get married! They really are a special pair who know how to make everyone they speak to feel loved, valued and heard. Not something I would usually tend to write in my blogs but it really has stuck with me. Of course, two gorgeous and caring humans got married so it was no surprise that their family and friends were equally as lovely and also welcomed me into the fold. I’d like to give the most sincere of ‘thank yous’ to everyone involved in this beautiful day and making my job so easy and enjoyable! Congratulations Mr and Mrs McAnulty!

I would usually start this part of the blog talking about Mark and ‘the lads’ but it’s fab to have another wedding tradition being changed and personalised through our wonderful ‘Best Woman’ Zara. Of course, she also nailed the speech!

Suppose this would be a wonderful time to thank my fantastic second shooter Andy Li who covered Mark getting ready along with the rest of the day!

Wedding Ceremonies at Alcumlow Wedding Barn

Alice and Mark’s ceremony has to be noted as very unique. I almost fell of my seat a week before their wedding when I spied on Instagram that the cheeky pair tied the knot in Liverpool! I thought they’d decided to scrap it all and just do it! Thankfully for me (and everyone else who came to enjoy the day it was done so that Alice’s dad, a vicar could lead the ceremony on the day. What could be more special than being walked down the aisle by your dad and then him take your service?! As you can see, although the legal bit was already done, I think Mark was feeling a little emotional as the music was about to begin!

Outdoor White House at Alcumlow Wedding Barn

Following their beautiful and very personalised wedding ceremony we managed to make the most of the late Autumn sunshine and check out the very unique white house at  the venue. It was the perfect spot for confetti and of course some beautiful portraits!
