Planning your Wedding?
You’re getting married? Congratulations! Welcome to one of the most exciting, nerve-racking, expensive, stressful few months of your life. Lets face it once the initial excitement of the bling on your finger has eased shit gets real. You’re now faced with the task of finding your perfect wedding venue (with availability) to squish all your nearest and dearest in so that they can witness you marrying the love of your life then eat and drink away your life savings in a few hours. You need to go on a liquid diet of grass so you can squeeze yourself into the perfect dress; buy designer shoes that are going to require more blister plasters than a marathon runner; spend every waking moment and toilet break on pinterest; try and avoid world war three with your seating plan; book the coolest band; get a casino; magician; wedding cars; a 6 tier cake; flowers that hang from the bloody ceiling and come up with a really original idea for your favours because lets face it, you’ve only spend about a hundred quid on each guests so they can eat, drink, be waited on and entertained all day – heaven forbid the scandal if you didn’t then also give them a present for turning up! Jeez! Weddings are exhausting! Seriously. They don’t have to be though. Stop. Take breath. Step away from pinterest and the ’10 things you have to have at your wedding’ article and just think about who you are as a couple. My favourite weddings regardless of budget, theme or venue are those where the couple and their personalities are reflected in the day.
The one thing I constantly hear back from my amazing couples when they have found me is, ‘we’re excited now.’ I Helen Williams Photography give all you beautiful fun-loving couples the permission to do what you want and plan the wedding that you will love! I am so passionate about everything ‘wedding’ and ensuring that all of my couples have not only a stress-free, enjoyable day but a well-planned, supportive experience in the run up to it. Photographer, wedding planner, extra bridesmaid without the dress, timekeeper, dress fluffer, family liason officer, mischief maker, children’s entertainer, baby sitter, dancefloor diva, crisis-aversion expert and most of all friend.

Fun and Creative Photography
Regardless of if I am shooting a wedding, family session, company headshots or awards ceremonies there is one thing all of my clients have in common. They want the process of having their photograph taken to be fun. I’m sure that if you asked most people what a stereotypical photographer looked like, the idea of a middle aged, overweight man with body odour and limited people skills would probably be at the forefront of their mind. To be fair, I’m probably the exact opposite! Instead of finding me in a corner geeking out, you may find me doing a sneaky cartwheel in some empty space. I’m often introduced by my brides as ‘the mental wedding photographer.’ Bubbly, energetic, and passionate I’m with you all day working with endless enthusiasm to ensure that nothing gets missed.
For me, what makes a great photograph is emotion. True emotion whether it be the tears of seeing your little girl in her wedding dress for the first time. The ‘shit, it’s too late to run now’ reaction when the music starts to play and the guests stand up. The sheer joy of a child being thrown around in the air by her Daddy. If there’s one thing I’m great at, it’s getting emotions from people. Making people feel comfortable enough and trust me enough to show them is one very sneaky skill.
Anyway, I think that’s enough waffle and you should probably be getting on with browsing around my site. If you require any information, please get in touch via the contact page! 🙂
