Great Budworth Church and Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photography by Helen Williams Photography, Cheshire.

Space hopper races; the most incredible dip n kiss; me getting overenthusiastic singing in church only to find out a mic right next to me was turned on (whoops – sorry guys); the most stunning colourful gardens; gorgeous transport; epic dancing and forest adventures. Lucy and Doug’s super fun wedding at Great Budworth Church and Abbeywood Estate really had it all!

Lucy’s  beautiful coral pink bouquet was designed by the fantastic floral designers at Acacia Florists, Northwich and gorgeous hair and make up beautifully applied by Michelle Sisson

It was a very relaxed morning at Bridal HQ with the girls looking stunning in their matching robes

Doug and his guys were just as chilled as the girls before the ceremony at St Mary and All Saints Church, Great Budworth

However, when the organ began both their faces suggested a little bit of nerves were setting in! As for the smallest of the bridal party, the thought of doing such a long walk on her own proved just a little too much! What a cutie!

I love taking a short pit-stop between the ceremony and arriving at the venue. Here, Lucy and Doug are on the beautiful Abbeywood Estate drive taking a moment before joining their guests.

Doug and Lucy’s guests were all great fun and we decided a bit of healthy competition within the bridal party was needed to get the celebrations really started. For some, this resulted in a tumble or two but thankfully no suits or dresses were harmed as much as some egos!

I really don’t think I have ever shot at a venue with such beautiful gardens and scenery. I seriously could have spent all day on the bridal portraits. There are just so many gorgeous locations to choose from!

I love the bright, airy feel of the glasshouse at Abbeywood. With natures finest as a backdrop, gorgeous greenery, vivid blooms and butterflies aplenty I can’t think of a better place to celebrate with your loved ones. Electrician Doug and teacher Lucy’s bespoke wedding cake was fantastic and really represented them as a couple and the careers they both love.

As a wedding photographer I’ve laughed and cried through so many father of the bride, groom and best man’s speeches. I think it’s clear from the pics that the gents at the top table delivered some excellent content!

Where possible, after the wedding breakfast I love nothing more than taking advantage of the gorgeous light offered by the setting sun and being able to walk straight into beautiful woodland almost transports you to a different place altogether!

Obviously it wouldn’t be a Helen Williams Photography wedding without the compulsory ‘dip and kiss.’ Doug and Lucy smashed it out of the park and they didn’t even practice beforehand. Skills!

Guests were treated to a fantastic evening of entertainment by the Gillan Edgar Band and danced well into the night.

Lucy and Doug, thank you so much for allowing me the absolute pleasure of photographing your stunning Abbeywood wedding. I had an absolute blast!
